Lux vs Candlepower in Spotlights?

A 300,000 cd is a real nice thrower. Then you see these spotlights with
25 million candlepower on their spotlights.

Question: What relation are candela to candlepower? Are these 25 million candlepower just exaggerated
claims and really have no relation to candela?? An aside: the spotlight at the top of the Luxor in Vegas is
rated at 40-42 billion candlepower!

Thanks fixer, but that wasn't what I was asking.
I found it though after much binging - the candle power of those big spotlights are usually exaggerated, and by a
factor of 30 times, sometimes as much as 100 times. So that 15 million spotlight is probably about 500,000 cd, could
be 150,000 candela. That 10 million one, could be anywhere from 333,000 cd down to 100,000cd. They both still
describe throw, thus what the spotlight does, throws an intense small beam way out there. Some honest 1,000,000 candle
power spotlights will be the same as one claiming 30 million cp.

Tks BikeFixer, but that's not what I was asking. I found it by a lot of binging.
Those millions of candlepower are usually exaggerated, same as with the 15,000L or 18,000 lumens in those sodie pop
lights. They are usually blown up by factors of from 30 to 100 times. So that 10 million candlepower spotlight is probably
only 333,000 cd down to 100,000 candela, describing throw, which is what spotlights do; they throw an intense, concentrated
small beam of light way out there. Thus a 1 million spotlight may be the same as a 20 million cp spotlight.

There's a post that I was asked the same question 3-4 months back.
My laptop is being updated so I can't search to find.
Going from memory, one candle power is equal to one candela.
Forget all the Chinese lights like the Cyclops 12,15,and 18 million candle power lights as those are bogus numbers.
My Maxa Beams are any where between 7.5 and 12 million candle power. The MB projects a beam over 1800 meters while the 15 million Cyclops has a hard time hitting 300 meters.
