Luxeon 1 Star To An SSC P4 Star Soldering Questions

1. Can I simply reflow the existing, lead free SSC star solder pads into the ± wire leads ?
2. Should the SSC star solder pads be desoldered before soldering in ± leads (may allow me to use non-RoHS compliant solder)?
3. Will an application of DeoxIt to the star pads and bare ± leads affect soldering?

2. Should the SSC star solder pads be desoldered before soldering in ± leads (may allow me to use non-RoHS compliant solder)? - - It's not needed but it won't hurt either so long as you don't overheat the pads.

3. Will an application of DeoxIt to the star pads and bare ± leads affect soldering? - - It will just turn from red to brown and boil off with a funky smell at 220C/428F. It won't aid in soldering like a very small bit of flux can.
