LUXEON K2 LEDs how many watts?

These LEDs run at 3.6v at 700ma. Does that mean they use 2.52 Watts?

watts as in optimum output? maximum output? or watts as in efficiency loss?

optimum: 3.6V x 0.35A = 1.3W
maximum: 3.6 x 1.5 = 5.4W

If your just looking for a value to compare it to other LEDs, consider it a high efficient 3 watter:thinking:

Luxeon K2 TFFC can be driven from 350ma to 1500ma
Drive voltage [min][typ][max]: 2.79/3.42/4.23 [VDC]

Personally I'd drive a K2 at 700ma for easy heatsinking...700ma would rate it at 2.5 or ~3W:D
