Welcome to CPF!

Six cells, that's gotta be quite a handful. Nevertheless, if you like it, you can consider some of the 6D (I'm assuming it's a D-cell?) offerings from Inretech (http://www.inretech.com/). Their Helios product for 6D systems is said to be WICKED bright.

You CAN get brighter (200 or so Lumens is about max) with a Luxeon mod in a 6 cell, but if you want REALLy bright, you have to go with a different incandescent bulb, either one of the Welch Allyn offerings like an 1185 putting out 1000+ bulb units when driven by 1/2D NiMH cells, or the Osram bulbs with a modified switch and socket assembly.

The Osrams and Welch Allyns do need a metal reflector like a Carley to be a long term solution.
