Looked through tons of posts and haven't found the answer to the following questions:

1) Is the LF HO-M6 + 6xIMR16340s configuration compatible?

2) If so, what kind of runtime should I expect?

I'm not to sure about IMR cells, however RCR123's are compatible.

With RCR123's you are looking at 35min runtime.

Taken from here.

You are probably better off getting a 3x17670 battery magazine, and using that config.
Easier when it comes time to charge also.

If you really want to stick with IMR16340's I would suggest the IMR-M6

I am considering the IMR-M6, but the 18 min runtime :eeksign:

I think I might look for the 3x17670 holder... Does anyone make a M6 3x18650 holder?

I'd love to use 3xIMR18650 along with the IMR M6...

3x18650 won't fit unortunately.

You can get 2x18650 holders, and a EO-M3T if you need a little less output

I have the HO-M6R & 3x17670's planned for my M6, and the EO-M3T & 2x17670's planned for my M4

The (paraphrased) answer from Mark@LF is that IMR16340s are compatible with the HO-M6R... Light output will be more steady during the run and will suddenly drop off once the juice runs out. Regular Li-Ions output will slowly decrease over the run...

Hope this helps anyone else who was curious!

IMR16340s will work fine in the stock magazine with the HO-M6R. 3x17670 is preferred for better run-time, (~40+ minutes). I'll have more 17670 adapters for the M6 in stock here soon if you are interested. The FM Magalennium is the best run-time possible (by a substantial margin when modern 18650s are considered) but as I understand sacrifices the ultra-reliable stock twisty switch.

There are lots of options to choose from. IMO, stick with the HO-M6R, I prefer it over the IMR-M6 as it actually throws as-good-or-better, (I measured ~25% higher peak beam intensity on the HO-M6R compared to the IMR-M6). The IMR-M6 does produce more lumens spread around a bit more if you need that.
