Flashlight Enthusiast
well, this past year I have some left-over things for sale at bargain prices for Greek standards. (after putting some flashlights at the side for give-aways)
So...yesterday in our radio club's HAM FEST I put some maglite led replacements for sale on the table next to my First Aid gear.
I did sell my Daimond_Led 3W upgrade to a fellow from a nearby town. He brought his flashlight from the car, we checked function and gave him tips on mag maintence, tricks etc, plus some info on the Led module itself.
Asking price was 20euros, but I dropped the price latter at 15 cos he was a good chap. By contrast the Maglite LED replacements are going for 32 euros, and diamond-leds are unknown.
But i can tell you next to flashaholics, HAM amateurs are the real deal on informed customers. They DO know of electonics, regulation, and heatsinking.
Honestly, with the amount of knowledge i get from this forum, and the spare time I have in my hands now, and having contacts in LEO, military and Radio amateurs, shouldn't I be starting my own business?
thanks, kostas
