I got my MM Q2 today and dropped it right in. I also got the mineral glass, ball and Kroll switch. The installation was so easy, I thought I might be doing something wrong. But it came on, so I guess it's okay. I completely floods out my Inova X5 with fresh batts.

It's adjustable, how do I adjust it and what setting is it on right now?

Are 2100 or higher mAH NiMH 1.2V AA's okay to use? What about Lithiums?

Do I need to be careful about leaving it on for extended times?

Any other comments I need to keep in mind when useing it?

The only thing I don't like about it is the green tint. But I can live with it since it's so bright.

To adjust turn the trimpot, this is a little stud inside the sandwich. It's trial and error to find the spot you want. It is set wide open when you get it. All of these batteries work just fine. It's OK to run it all you want /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

The tint you see is the "2" in Q2.

And if you don't like the tint, try a McFlood. It will open up the beam to a wide flood (of course) but will also blend the colors and won't highlight the yellows and greens you may be experiencing.
