Here's how I break it down:

3D host $20
Reflector $20
Lens $5
2 potted bulbs $15

About $60 in parts, new.

^^^ Maybe a little low, but not by much. A Mag85 is worth slightly more than all of its parts. I would say yours is worth around $75 or so.

Well I've been selling one for a while here (but I haven't been bumping it as I don't really care much if it sells or not) and I priced it at the cost of all of the parts. I even have that battery pack you mentioned and that alone was around fifty bucks. You'll have a tough time putting one together for BSBG's $60 figure.

I think you are forgetting a couple if things such as:
KIU Switch - $30
OR
Fivemegas G4 bi-pin socket - $20

Battery Holder - $40
Batteries - $25
OR
Battery Pack - $58

I read the original question as "what's my stuff worth", not "what is a functioning Mag85 worth". The OP listed 2 potted bulbs, therefore no bulb holder in the equation. And he clearly stated no battery pack. A complete, functioning Mag85 is obviously worth more, but right now he only has a head start.

Here is a recent Marketplace sale: http://www.cpfmarketplace.com/mp/showthread.php?t=181939

Here is the price I payed for my M*g 85

I bought a good used host so that was 7.50$. But at Lowes for a new one where I live is about 18$ with tax.

3d M*g host 18$
Borofloat lens 8$
OP reflector from KD 15$
Kiu high temp socket 15$
WA1185 x 2 bulbs 12$
Total cost without battery converters=68$
I also had 3 electrolumen AA to D converters with this light
when I was done playing with this light I recently sold it here. I sold it for a few dollars under my true cost but I was finished with it and the buyer was very excited.

If you want a high quality 9AA to 3d converter for a low price I would recomend this one from Mdocod here for 22$ I have one for my M*g74 in the 6AA size and they are great.

Hope this helps.
