I got a mag reflector about a month ago and tried cleaning it today. All I did was soaked it in water. This is what happened.

What should I do?

Thanks.

Can't see your pic. But the main thing is to realize you can't really clean reflectors. So try not to get them dirty. :ohgeez:

A new reflector is $25. There is no way to refinish the reflector cheaply.....sorry.

it's so wierd that firefox won't open this image. re-hosted for you. It looks like you made it into a Medium orage peel! should smooth out the beam. Oh, nevermind. it's all peeled. and gross.

I actually only paid $15 for this one.

So your going to spend $6 on a can of spray paint that will most likely ruin the $15 reflector :)

No use in putting anymore time into this one.....either use it, or pick up a new one. If your using this in a hotwire then the paint will burn.

Good point, I think I will just leave it.

Like I said before just chaulk this one up to a lesson learned.

Heck, I burnt up 2 Seoul LEDs last weekend because I failed to isolate the slug properly. :ohgeez: That's $25 up in smoke! You can bet your *** that it won't happen again :).
