I have a Maglite 3D that I would like to mod into a mag623. I've seen a lot of 2D tutorials and I was just wondering if the process was the same or are there different parts that I needed for my 3D? AA direction to a guide or a tutorial would be even more appreciated as well. Thanks guys!

most guys who do the 2d mod use a battery pack of 13, 2/3 A cells, which gives the 15.6v, but if youre going the 3D route, you can get basically the same results from 4x IMR26500 cells with a 1in pvc pipe in the tube to keep them from rattling.
