I've checked malkoff's website and didn't find the M30 but i seen a couple at the BST, are these no longer available? I need one for a C2 with 17670 set up.

E-mail gene and ask him to make you one.
Or a PM would do.

They have never been on his site, they are special order items! Quite worth asking for.

Excuse my ignorance, but what exactly is the M30 compare to the M60 that I already have in my G2Z?

M30 allows for 1 cell operation up to 4.5v so enabling the use of 18670 or 17670 while the M60 needs 2 cells up to 9v where us if you used a single cell the drop-in would perform out of regulation.

Mine says 1V-5.5V.....and yes simply ask Gene for one.....first class product......btw, it will also work on a CR123 cell and RCR123 as well.

You guys are forgetting the MAIN purpose of the M30 (at least for me), getting it to work in a 3P! I love my 3P with the M30.

.......and works very nicely on my E1E body with the step-up adaptor to take the C head.....funny looking with the big head and tiny body.

The first run so to speak, have a max voltage of 4.5v.
The newer ones are slightly higher.

I did a runtime on a RCR123 posted here. Extrapolate for 17670...

RCR123 750 mah vs 17670 1600 mah...Should be about twice the runtime (1 hr) I would think.

I just realized that someone else posted 17670 runtime in that same thread just after my post.

1 hour 19 minutes, not too shabby.

Can't wait for that Leef 1X18650 body to show up!

That's going to be real nice for my M30. +/- 2 hours. :grin2:

Agree 100%, solid well made shell with built in collar to stop the 18650 cell from hitting the M30 LED unit if the light is dropped.......good run time with regulation......and one heck of a light source with good balance of throw and spill......just got to make up your mind if you are going to have the plain bezel ring or the pointy one :)

Although it just looks like a normal 3P now, mine has played dress up before as well...

It really is best if you just leave it in its normal config (with the M30 though, of course).
