In fact, some lights strobe the LED very quickly(60-1000+ hz) to give the effect of dimming. So no, the tailcap won't affect the life of the drop-in. With incans it's a different story.

In fact, that's what they're (partially)meant to do. So it shouldn't affect the life of the M60, AFAIK. -Max
