Maratac SS not functioning properly

Got an older Maratac SS aaa that keeps getting stuck on. Seems like a contact issue. Any thoughts?

The - path on the driverboard is insulated from the pill/head. If you get some metal shavings between the head or pill, and the driver, it will stay on until you unscrew the head completly.
Clean it.

Thanks a lot jorn. Apparently my first cleaning was a weak effort. Cleaned it better after your advice and she's alive again.
