Yes you can. No Poof. Nice sturdy light. Well worth the price. Everything I bought From Shinning Beam has been great. Bryan says he's got a couple of new romisen's comming up and Mg X thrower sst 50 it's on the website now.:thumbsup:

got away with it for awile. :mecry: I like the light light so much I ordered another one. I'll be more carefull this time. If it says in big red letters don't use rcr's on shining beams website pay attention!!! Well I got a chance to take it apart to see what makes it tick.

Well, thanks for taking one for the team and following up when you found out the truth.
I'm not sure about that particular light, but I know on a couple of the ones I blew out, it was the driver that blew, not the LED and I was able to fit a new driver in place. If the driver is 17mm in diameter, you have a lot of choices.
