This is the latest creation of /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif Mc-Gizmo , it is a turned down Mc-Lux Head with a Pelican reflector , it is equipped with a Badboy 611 and a Lux3 led.
After some investigation seems that using more amps. to drive the led using only one 3V bat. do not give any real benefit so i chose the BB611 and not a BB700 or 750.
This little flashlight has a real long throw for a 3 volt flashlight , has a beautiful hot spot and a good side-spill, i've done some test with my luxmeter at 1 m. circa :

Mc-L4 R2H BB600mA (Mc-Gizmo)______________1030 lux

Arc-LS BB750mA 5W-W3 (mod by Jets22)______830 lux (using a Li-ion ) less lux but a lot more lumens !
i have the bare-aluminum version so i can use my E1-GM body but i know that there is also coming a black-HA version (if you have the E1E-Black-HA body ..... ) these heads will be available at the Sandwich Shoppe in this page.
As a side note, this head works very well also with my UBH and just 2 Nimh AA !( What ? You don't have an UBH ? Do yourself a favour and pre-order one HERE ; you can use it with every Surefire E-Heads , ARC-LS heads , Mc-Lux heads and you can fit in 2xAA or 1xAA or 1x123 or 2x123 or 3x123 or 1xLi-ion bare cell or 1xPila cell etc. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif )

Larger and deeper reflector = longer throw .
