Mc2ES by McGizmo : schematic review PICS

Flashlightreviews mentioned that he does not recommend 22 ohms (for 2x123 with KL4) as it can cause flickering in fresh batteries. Has anyone else found this problem?

with my KL4 and mine two Mc2ES 22 ohm , i have not flickering in low mode nor with 2x123 nor with the Pila batts , this is what i can say to you .

According to KJ's runtime plots, the 60 Ohm gives less than 50 Lux for a very long time (over 24 hours?). Just how much light is that? Is this still more than, say, and Opalec NewBeam module?

My Arc AA produce 25 lux at 1 meter an Opalec NewBeam produce 35-40 Lux at 1 meter , you can't see difference between 40 and 50 Lux .

So a 22 or 30 Ohm Mc2ES should give more like than a NewBeam for 6+ hours? Works for me! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

If you want to decide the value of the resistor , you would better take a look at the table in this 3D posted by K-T in the Mc-Gizmo forum.
