I know you can refit the McGizmo assemblies into the Z-series caps, at least... though don't ask me for details. It'd probably be easier to rethread the McE2S switch itself for a light that used one of those tailcaps. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Jon,
The 2S module can be adapted to work in a "Classic" LOTC but it requires a custom "host" (shown to the left):
Since I took that picture and have done a fair number of these for myself, I have gone to making the adapter in brass and soldering the resistor PCB into the brass host. The balance of the 2S module then assembles in a normal manner. Since this is a mod requiring gutting the LOTC as well as the custom host coupled with the fact that SF is no longer making the LOTC's and the likely small demand, I never took this idea to the stage of offering it. Many of the lights that could use a Classic size 2 stage switch came with clickies which would not lend themselves to modification. The proper solution would be to offer a complete 2 stage switch but that would be very expensive and of little demand. It is unfortunate because both the KL5 and KL6 doe will with the addition of a low level. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon3.gif
