McGizmo Sundrop RCR123??

Recently purchased a three speed McGizmo Sundrop and was wondering if someone knows whether it will function on RCR123 cells?

According to Don's November 2008 sales thread, it runs a buck boost converter and will handle primaries as well as Li-ion batteries. He also has some really cool photos of some native lizards crawling on the Sundrop, if you like that sort of thing. I thought they were cool.
