Hey I just go the MH-c9000 too! Just finished looking at the manual...
Reading the manual it is recommended that you charge between 0.3C and 1.0C. That you don't discharge more than 1.0C. The 'C' refers to the capacity of your batteries. So if you have 2000mAH (this is the rated capacity of your battery) rechargeable, you should charge between 0.3x2000 (600mah) and 1.0x2000 (2000mah). A higher current will charge it faster but the battery may get hotter (potentially reducing its battery life)
Reality is the actually capacity of battery is probably lower than the capacity rated on the battery (especially if it is an older battery). So I wouldn't charge it at 2000mah (maybe 1600mah to be safe).
If you don't want to set anything... if you just leave it, it should start charging itself at 1000mah, which would be fine for all your batteries.
