Good day.
Looking for a micro inspection light (Led grain of wheat emitter?).. Body needs to be remote and 90 deg to the light itself.

Think light source on the end of the short leg on an L, with the body (power source switch) on the long leg of the L.

I need to be able to put light in a 8-10mm “hole” and see past the light source with a magnifying glass or other optic. I suppose something like a fire arm bore light might be, but this has an automotive / motorcycle application.
Ideally the light would be a spot type, not an unshielded bare bulb or LED as I think that will interfere with viewing with the optic. So something like this shape.

Thanks

Streamlight has a flashlight with a 5mm LED on the end of a flexible neck. It's called the Stylus Reach.

Not sure if that's the kind of light you're looking for but it might work.
It's not super bright though - only 10 lumens. It's definitely a usable light level though. Oh, and it uses AAAA batteries. Not too common but they can usually be found, connected in series, in a 9V battery.

Imon, thanks, but dont think this one is going to work

The straight on fixed head will get in the way.. really need a right angle light source.

Thanks though.

Here's a possibility. I think you can still get these at Ace Hardware.

Thanks for the response, but Im going to have the same issue with this one and any one that has a large end housing the bulb or LED.

I need to put light, in a motorcycle carb fuel passage.. While looking into that same 5, 6, 8, 10mm hole with an optic magnifier.. be it jewelers loupe or magnifying glass, or, what have you. Also would use the light to provide additional light when using a remove fiber optic camera (looking in an automotive engine cylinder though the spark plug hole)

So basically I need a light tip, 90 deg to the body, and the tip emitting the light needs to be the diameter of a Mini MAG light bulb,

or so.

Honestly, I can make a light like this if I need to, but I figured such a thing would already exists.

I'll just keep looking. Have two more months till Im home and can use it.. So have time to find what Im looking for.

Thanks all for the ideas.

Try a search for "Steelman 16" Micro Pro Bend-A-Light". I think this might be what you are looking for. The company has a whole line of such lights in different sizes and lengths......plus accessories.

Do a search on the net for the greenlee flexible led light. It's like the light above but where the led is housed is a lot smaller.
