I just bought a Microfire g3500 for use in search & rescue (should arrive in a couple of weeks) but noticed the is not a lot of info available on them.
Does anyone have any experience with these lights?
How do they stack up against similar products like the polarions etc?

I don't know of anyone on cpf to have purchased this light yet. The light used to cost substantially less when it was introduced but Microfire's prices have been rocketing upwards lately.

I think the only real negatives for the Lancer would be the 6000K and slow/medium warm up time when switched on. At a $400 price point, as when I purchased my K3500, this doesn't really bother me too much. However, I see that the Lancer is now priced at nearly $1600 which places it at or above some the very best HID spots on the market. Perhaps you got a better deal.

It will be interesting to hear your thoughts about the Lancer.

Thanks Patriot,
I managed to pick one up new for under $500Au (got to love the Aussie dollar at the moment).
Seems like a decent light at that price, I will put up some beam shots when it arrives.

Can I ask you where you bought yours?

I saw a video review of it on youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xToYHNcPVyE&NR=1) recently and it looks quite amazing. Thing is I wanted to buy a K3500R since literally years but I was saving it for a happy event that still didn't take place for bureaucratical reasons.
Anyway now I just saw this new light and I'm hot on it but for 1500 bucks I can buy a Polarion. 400-500 bucks I would spare though on this piece. It's a brandnew model, design looks great and as long as the price is good I'm going to be one of the lucky owners, hehe.
