I just got a Microtech Kestrel dated 8/99 manual plane blade silver bead blast. Any one know why the spacers in the spine are green instead of blue? All of the examples I have seen had blue. Just curious (the knife is brand new in the box and has the paperwork and razer factory edge)

I have a MT Kestrel dated 4/2000 that has metallic grey back spacers. I also had one dated 2/2002 that had the green back spacers. Both are CN plain blade versions. I've never seen the blue version. Most I have seen have been green. I was very happy to see that mine was metallic grey upon recieving it from 1stopknifeshop a couple of years ago.

I believe it's a matter of chance. Getting a color you like is kind of like ordering luxeon emitters without bin codes. It's a lottery.

My 4/2000 is a manual plain blade, the spacers are a shiny grey-blue color, would love to have green.

Joe
