Got a package from MilkyLabs today my new SF L1.
Its got the Cree XRE w focusable optic and a 30ohm resitor in the tailcap. Shock mounted ciruit capsule. It runs on 1 standard CR123 or 1 RCR123. What is really unque about this light is the optic can go from flood to a tight thrower . It's much brighter than my stock SF L2. I'm very impressed haven't taken it outside yet. MilkyLabs has hit yet another homerun in my book. Scott if I've left anthing out please feel free to chime in.

We need beamshots!!!

What kind of optic did he use? I have never heard of this yet(excluding Surefire's new lights)

I wonder if Scott used stock Cree emitter in this mod, or replaced it with the new one. If later, which one?
Thanks!

Mark

Well, if it is anything like mine....and it sounds like it is...here are the specs...

Milky L1x Cree

CREE Q4 WC emitter, hand-tested for optimal L1 compatibility
Stock circuit replaced with a Madmax Plus Circuit
Stock TIR Optic - Focusable
Tailcap resistance recalibrated to 3 to 5 lumen low
Rechargeable friendly

Thanks for the pic bondr006, haven't had a chance to take any beamshots yet I'm still kinda down with this flu.

I'm using my ML1e all the time.
I'm thinking of getting a Surefire L1 cree milkymodded.

I've got the same thing that Mr. Bond has...except mine is a Q5 Cree. This sucker is bright! These ML-1x are better than the 4-flat sided Milky L1's, in my opinion. The focusing beam makes it pretty unique!

What kind of runtime are you guys getting on high?

If these units are running MM+ drivers with matched LEDs...1:15?

About an hour on high....Which I think is phenomenal for a 1 cell light putting out about 200 lumen.

bondr006...An hour on high is great, huh? Have you done a runtime on low? Plus, we're using RCR123s, so it's guilt-free lumen!

mbely2...yes, you've definitely got to have one of these! But be warned...milkyspit mods are extremely addictive and once you've had a taste, you'll never look at stock lights the same way!

*Sniff* i want one, but i think Scott is dealing with his backlog of orders now....:(
