Hey guys (and gals)

I just had my profile reset at work, and I can't remember how to tell windows (XP Pro) to minimise things to the tray, such as outlook. I remember doing something in the registry once upon a time, but can't remember where or what.

Also, is there a good way to force windows to open maximised every time? I can't figure out how to make it happen for links or shortcuts.

Any help would be appreciated. TIA.

Outlook has an option you can set so that when you minimize it, it will go into the tray.

For other applications, there is a good freeware application called power menu. It adds "minimize to tray", "always on top", and some transparency options to the context menu you get when you click on an application's title bar or taskbar button.
