I just got mine a few minutes ago. I like the smooth reflector wells, the slightly larger head and wells diameter and slightly deeper reflector wells, and the only very slightly overlapping wells, compared to other single 21700 3 x 50.2 lights that are in this classification. I also like the looks of the ample stainless steel bezel. These combine to give the head of the light and the reflector a much nicer visual appearance. Small white room ceiling bounce check shows subjectively identical to another single 21700 3 x 50.2 light which is speced by Vinh at 8,000 lumens at turn on. With fully charged 40T cell, to my eyes, the stated lumen spec appears to be under reported. I very much like the much more strongly defined hotspot, compared to other single 21700 3 x 50.2 lights that are in this classification.

I agree with KG_Tuning, that the throw spec is under reported (303 vs 389); I think the throw is probably significantly higher than the 303 meters that the manufacturer specifies, just based on my comparative small white room lumens check, emanating from the relatively non-floody, (therefore relatively more throwy) beam.

The dawn of the flashlight day is not for another seven more hours over here, but I already like this light a lot. Thank you, freeme, and everyone else who created this very attractive flashlight!

Estimated arrival date was August 15, but it arrived much earlier, by surprise.

I am so excited with the first EC03 that I received on July 9th, that I just ordered two more, to make three.

I am super happy with the price: Practically free. I am very happy with the build quality: very, very nice. I am very happy with the appearance: Ample stainless steel bezel, and smooth wells and minimal body prints make for attractive appearance. I like the feel: Not too heavy, and it does not feel too light. The head diameter is ample enough to provide nice quantity of throw for host size classification, replete with mostly non overlapping, ample diameter wells. Also, the ample head diameter equates to ample mass to handle heat better than smaller head diameter lights in this power class.

I am amazed that to me, and also to others, the beam performance significantly outperforms factory throw and lumen specs. I humbly think the throw is not less than 400 meters, and the lumens are close to 9,000 with 40T. This, after subjectively visually comparing with several other lights in its performance class.

This light is a must have, and it is highway robbery at the current BG price, and interstate highway robbery at the still current freeme group buy code price.

The beam performance is ultra high for body size, and the beam profile is the perfect combination of throw and flood: Not too much or too little of either.

I almost forgot to mention that it also has normal modes for normal runtime, too.
