Hi there,
I ask the modders here if anybody has ever pulled the living guts out of a minimag, including the 'do not remove' plastic bulb holder... And droped in a PR flange LED 'Ever LED'?
I ask because would it not be possible to take apart once stripped slide the PR flange LED into the empty mini tube, then take a Alu battery spacer removing a few mm slide in behind the LED and run from a 18650.
I know the PR blubs fit into a gutted minimag and have ran a 2D cell bulb in the minimag that way, just wondering if any of you wizard's have done the same with an 'ever LED'?.
I say this because the best offering from the 'Shoppe' BB nexgen750 is a tad expensive for the output levels and not the 100lumen out the front. However I know that the 'Ever LED' is at least 100lumen and well a much less costly mod.
I am in the process of refining my mini's for the purpose of sale and I intend to provide the the best bang for buck in terms of reliability, output, runtime and cost. My aim is a bad *** mini with aspheric lens mod 'already made poss with snipper sight' for around £70 including GITD seals tailcap switch ect ect.
My current mini with the sight mod has mind blowing throw I really mean mind boggling it's almost like a telescopic flashlight you don't see it real good at close range but it will light up the roof on the block accoss the park from me say 120-150 meters! thats using the older TL5 which looks CREEish not the new TL5EX which makes me sick with such a large surface and a hazy blue output.
