Can this run at 3.6 V?
And if so, will it be better than the older MKII ? (higher overall output)

It can use AA or any AA-size battery ,
so use 14500 Lithium ions is not a problem.

when use 14500 or 2AA (with extension tube) the maximum ouput is 150lm.
MKII is...100lm,so what do you think?

This looks like AA tube installed and spare CR123 tube.
Translated from Strong's blog just above the pictures that explain the features of the torch.

I already ordered an MKIIx from Emilion; his site says it's expected to arrive tomorrow, Feb 12th. Hopefully they'll ship out next week.

Emilion's Sales thread: JETBeam MKIIx - probably the last member of MK II

Read some posts from China forums, the CR123 tube is for MK.II. It'll need additional spring to make contact and it's too tight to do one hand operation (remove one o-ring may help). I'm not sure if there is 2AA extension tube designed for MK.II X, but some users received with MK.II 2AA tube and complained about the problem of not matched well. Must try by force several times to make it looser. :ohgeez: (NOTICE: They ALL didn't order from Emilion)

I may get mine next Tuesday and will post mini review if have enough time.

You say this is expensive when folks (including myself) are/have plucked down $70 for a P1D CE? With the MKII's 2AA extension tube and CR123a tube, it will be like having an L1D, L2D and P1D CE in one light. The input voltage on this light is higher than the above mentioned Fenix lights.

IMO, the MKII is very well constructed and has a textured reflector. It also has a higher input voltage than the Fenix lights.

When this light arrives, it will be like having 6 Jetbeam lights as I have the extension tubes, which are interchangeable between the MKII and MKIIx.

I am not bashing the Fenix lights by any means, I have 7 of them, and really like them. At the same time I find the MKII to be a great light, and am looking forward to the MKIIx.

Based on my last post, it would be 2 lights in 1 for the MKIIx and 3 in 1 for the MKII.

The description on Emilions site mentions that there's an 2 AA Extension tube for this light (which I'm assuming is MKII extension tube). I had no problems with the 2AA extension tube on my MKII.
