Just received my MadMax Lite w/ NX05 optics. After assembly the LED seems to slide quite a bit down the body tube if I over tighten the head. Is there any way to more or less fix the sandwich from slipping? I currently use the existing twist function to turn it on and off. The o-ring that was included in the kit was a rubber o-ring and I think the spring at the tail cap may not be providing enough tension although the LED works just fine.

increase the solder blob or strech out the mag tail spring and you'll be good to go. the o-ring keeps it from falling out but does not keep it from moving. If you are using the twisting feature the module needs to be able to move.

greenLED, I believe I seated the included o-ring correctly (tapped into place with a sharpie marker body).

knifebright, thanks for the tips. I just tried fiddling with the twist feature a bit (fairly new minimag I got from work). The twist is very loose, so I'm worried about over tightening to turn it off. It actually turned on in my jacket pocket on the way home from work. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Fairly simple assembly, except for sanding the optics a bit to center it in the bezel, but outstanding upgrade for a relatively inexpensive 2AA flashlight! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/happy14.gif
