Mn20 in an M3T

So I've read the old JS thread from many years ago about using an MN-15 in an m6. Unfortunately i don’t have an MN-15(lost an eBay listing, been a long time forgot about snipers.) But, I was playing around and switching heads. The sea cucumber lookalike contest winner M6 with the Z46 was fun, and wow the MN-10 bulb looked good. But what I was surprised about was the MN-20 on a Single stack of CR123s on the M3. Also i had always assumed the M3T looked awkward, but I was wrong. It’s pretty nice.
Anyway, the MN-20 looked pretty good even though it was getting less voltage than is recommended. I only tried for a few seconds and the cells were fresh, so who knows how they’d suffer after several minutes, but overall I was impressed. Albeit my MN-20 is the purple base version, so it’s apparently a bit overdriven in the M6 compared to the later model, and may work a bit better on the lower operating voltage.
The MN-20 puts out 430 lumens on fresh cells in the M6. And only drops to 390 in the M3T.
 
Yeah, I knew about the runtime as it has the same current draw as the MN 11/16. But it wasn’t under driven. That was the point of this post. I was impressed by how good the beam looked. It was barely distinguishable from being run in the M6
 
So my bulbs came in. Holy cow I like this m3t setup with the HO-M3T and 2x H10 cells. Unfortunately it seems even these 10A cells don't power the IMR-M3T well. Only draws 3A and puts out 40 more lumens than the HO-M3T. 360 lumens instead of the 600 I was expecting. Oh well. One day I'll get around to making up a 2x18650 holder for my M6

And I may have discovered my issue. I wondered why the IMR-M3T was performing so poorly. I was running 1 H10 cell and 1 L15 cell. I ordered two of the H10 10A 14500, but was shipped one of each. They're both purple and look identical. It makes sense now why a 3A max cell was having a hard time pushing 3.4A to an incandescent lamp. Looks like I gotta apologize to mark for asking why the lamp wasn't any brighter than an HO-M3T
