Mod streamlight 3aa tasklight with blue 3w star ?

Can i put in a royal blue 3w luxeon star from lumileds just unsolder the leads and resolder???? Im very new at this but i want a blue bright luxeon so I figure this is a easy way just want to know if i can use a Luxeon III or do i have to use a 1watter ??? Thnks in advanced!

I just do not know how to mod. that where I am beginner, yet.

Just what you should care when you unsolder and resolder the lead is ;

- not to exceed 1.0 seconds per touch by the solder tip
- not to exceed 330 degree C
- to use thermal conductive glue between slug of emitter and metal plate. ( I use B-1063B from http://www.tesk.co.jp )
