By way of introduction, since this is my first post, I live for my my family, fish and dive for my soul, and work at the intersection of biology and optics.
Anyway, picked up a few micropucks and some rebels, really impressed with how they run. Got 3+ hours of usable illumination from a single aa, and the little PCB never warmed to the touch.
Anyone have any luck wedging the micropuck driver and wiring into a PR4 flange, capped with the 10mm rebel pcb, for a (diy) drop-in replacement? Units using other white luxeons are out there, but I want to run a red-orange LED (have my reasons) in my 2aa pelican lights.
