Intro​

The best hosts deserve the best drop-ins. Presenting for your consideration, triple LED drop-ins, made ready for your favorite flashlight. This thread is a companion to our custom SF host and custom Tank Light threads Shipping can be combined and orders for any part of either thread can be purchased in either thread. Features:

• Multiple independent LEDs for more output than conventional designs
• LEDs are soldered directly to copper
• Compatible with all 3.0-5.5 volt Surefire P and C series lights
• 3 levels on most models, for just the right output
• Fully potted electronics for durability
• Arctic Silver 5 thermal compound is used between the copper and aluminum
• Solid aluminum heatsink fits snugly inside the light for maximum heat transfer
• Hard anodized black for superior thermal emissivity and durability
• Custom built solid copper LED mounting plate
• 3 screws clamp the copper directly to the heat sink
• 24 gauge mil-spec wire with 19 strand, silver-plated copper conductors, teflon insulated

FAQ

• Do you have to cycle through low and medium every time?
  No, the last setting is stored so it will turn on to the same level it was set to when turned off
• You show batteries in your purchase example, where do I find those?

• Can I run this in my G2?
  No, these are very high performance and generate considerable heat. Operation in insulated (non metal) hosts will severely degrade the longevity of your new drop in.

What are the improvements Moddoo made in these new versions? Also, are these using the the same driver (8x7135) as the first batch? What are the drive levels for each mode?

i have a couple of questions, originally i asked for a 1 level driver, but now im curious, could the 3 levels one be used with a McE2S switch?, ie in any level do the 2 modes from the switch (not the drop-in) work?

i guess the 1 level driver would work with the switch no problems, but if i can mantain the functionality of the switch with the 3 mode driver i could buy that one instead.
