More affordable with USD $$'s & Euro,

Worth a mention I think.
Due to the Weaker GBP (Great British Pound ££) against the USD $$ It is at this point in time much cheaper to purchase from the UK for anybody buying in USD's.
Not so long ago Say £50 GBP was about $100.
Now £50 is about $80.

This makes our Raw Ti / Wee Ti offer really attractive to a USD customer.
£193 used to be near $400 USD.
Right now $315 USD Big difference I would say.

Also the Euro is much stronger towards the GBP.

Site says more trits on the 8th.
It is now the 13th and the site still says they are not an option.

Can't see buying a Lummi without the pretty trits! The price is right at the moment you are very correct.....................

on the exchange rate- true. I purchased a wee NS yesterday, 40 "pounds" with shipping, and paid 63 US dollars. It would have been 80 a few months ago.

If you get the chance, can you post pics of the White Trit vs. Green Trit in the Raw NS/Ti's?

If the exchange rate is even more favorable for the USD in the new year, I am definitely getting a Raw Ti.

just checked today, and 40 british pounds for a wee shipped is at 58 bucks US. It seems weird that the exchange rate is helping the US folks, I'd swear the dollar is worth a lot less world wide than it was a few years ago.

Also worth a mention. It is not just the USD that is stronger against the GBP.
The Euro is also much stronger towards the GBP than a few months back.

Absolutely, I was wondering about the exchange rate when I bought a few DVDs from Amazon.co.uk a few days ago. It´s almost 1:1 now and was 1 GBP=1.5 Euro when I bought my first Raw NS in may 2006.

It ticks me off that Paypal doesn't give the proper exchange rate at purchase.

If I go online to PP's currency converter, it gives me a rate close to what's published independently.

Then when I go to buy something in GBP seconds later on Paypal, it costs $15 more.

Then I go back to the Paypal converter, still predicts the lower amount. :scowl:

EDIT: I've done this over the course of several days with the same results.

Example today 2/6/09: Raw Ti with 5 trits and shipping = GBP 181

Put it through the PP currency converter = USD 259.63 (similar to third party online exchange calculators)

Try to buy the light = USD 273.33

Difference = USD 13.70 (+5.277%)

Then go to the currency converter, and see what the same total with shipping SHOULD cost.

I've been reading up on this. It seems Paypal does a hidden charge for making the international currency exchange. They don't show it as a separate item, they just take it.** I still don't understand why there is a much larger difference, about 2X as much %.

Is there an option to purchase from Lummi using a credit card directly with no Paypal????
