Mounting a Switch... unique problem.

We're making flashlights for a manufacturing class here at SUNY oswego. We've figured out how to make them out of two pieces so we have less complicated machining (threads) but we are having a hard time with mounting the switch. We can't really use a threaded insert because there is so little room, it may hit the spring on the back of the switch leaving the light permanently on.

Anyone with creative switch mounting ideas report! we need help. Pictures if you have something on another light please.

you might wanna post a pics, may be even a blueprint of your problem, to get ppl even think what you need.

Try a magnetic switch with a solid state relay. You can mount the "trigger" on the outside not requiring a thread or penetration. The switch can be internal with all the wiring in the housing.
