They are now for sale in the marketplace. Thank you,

I am looking to trade two nichias for one MC-E 5A I/J bin. The Nichias are sealed and new. I received them from Griff who got it from McGizmo. Thanks,

Hmm. I may be interested. I have an extra sealed 5A that I was going to use to make a lamp. But, I have been wanting to try the Nichias.

I like the 5A tint, just modded a flashlight with one and it has a very pleasant glow.

Do you have any specs on the Nichias?

Can these be focused with a short reflector in a flashlight? I'm thinking they might be handy for modding some other lights.

Re: WTT: 2 X Nichia High CRI on MCPCB

If I am correct, it gets 90-100 lumen for 350mah which is a recommended max. Check this out if you haven't.
This should be same one he used for Sundrop.

I have put in one of them in 120P with modded stock reflector. The reflector was modified for P7 so the opening was huge. Luckily it worked ok but generaly speaking I think it is very difficult to focus as the multiple small dies are in the LED.

Also, I forgot to mention they are mounted on MCPCB.
Please let me know,

Thanks,

From griff's description (posted by Mcgizmo)
The MCPCB is .750" in diameter and 1/16" thick. The notches are roughly 1/8" diameter on .750" centers and the MCPCB can be clamped similar to the starboards if you wish. If you want the LED to share a common ground, you can use a small screw through the little hole and the screw head will pick up contact with the (-) lead of the LED by virtue of a tinned circle of trace around the hole that is common to the LED (-). In some of my builds, I have to break the trace connection here as I use that hole but don't want the LED to be grounded.

I don't have the time or interest in getting into the component supply side but I have plenty of these and some of you want them.

What my offer is is a minimum of 10 pieces of these LED's on MCPCB for $15 ea. plus shipping. If you guys want to divvy these up further, be my guest but leave me out of the equation, please.
