I have the Sansa clip, very happy with it. I just wanted a decent set of powered speakers to use for a jobsite radio.
I looked at the Makita Jobsite radio, neat and small. Has an aux. input (the new version) runs off any Makita battery or AC. Convienient since I just bought a new Makita set. BUT it doesn't charge the battery when plugged in. Kind of put me off.
Looked and looked, they make a few that would be ok, if I had an Ipod. Lots of options there. But for the most part it looks like the same crap I bought for my cassete Walkman back in the eigth grade!! OR it's $300 plus and not very portable!!
This is what killed me, for the heck of it, I started looking at the Sirius boom box for my Sportster. Low and behold for $105 I can buy a decently rated boom box, play sattelite radio and it has an aux input!!! Probably what I will end up buying.
So, why is it that these things are so popular, but the only real option we have (unless you have an Ipod) is to plug it into the car, listen to the headphones, plug it into a reciever, or get crapy speakers?
Surely you would think there were something better?
