I have an SST-90 driver that I would like to resistor mod down to about 7 amps but I can't figure out how to do it.

I just soldered a noctigon onto one of my hybrid heat sinks. It is cooling down right now.

Looking good. It is a good idea to tin the pads while you have the whole thing hot. You will find that it is very hard to solder the leads otherwise with the heat being sucked out into the sink. If you can't solder to the pads, heat it up again and tin them with a big blob.
