Casebrius
Newly Enlightened
This is the light I'm running.

I switched the Driver of mine to this (Since original driver died)

I wasn't real happy with it. While the light did work again, the board was lacking. First off, it has no memory. It comes on in next mode from where it was turned off regardless of how long it was left on. I measured 3.2 volts at the LED with a current draw of 1.8A from end of battery. Should I be disappointed in these numbers? Does anyone have a suggestion for a better board? At this point, I don't care what it costs as long as it makes this light roar.
Until I find a better one I gave up on the board. I went direct drive. It's now pulling 2.26A with a Vf of 3.25 Volts. Definitely brighter than with the board! It won't be used for extended periods of time, so I'm not overly concerned about batteries. I run AW's so I shouldn't have a problem anyway. Is anyone else running this thing direct drive?
