Hi guys, just received my MTE Z-Power flashlight from DealExtreme.

Followed LEDite's mod thread and did the 17670 mod.

http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=154091

Took me about 3 hours to complete it due to my disastrous soldering skills and general stupidity but managed to come through unscathed (so far). I accidentally blasted the light in my eyes on high and felt a little nauseous a couple of minutes later.:barf:

Running on freshly charged new 17670s (unknown brand), it's definitely brighter then my P1D-CE on primary CR123s, and also a JETBeam C-LE on fresh Energizer E2 Lithiums (all on high mode). As for beam quality, JETBeam C-LE wins hands down, second is the MTE and last P1D-CE. The MTE out throws the other flashlights by a lot thanks to its larger reflector. The reflector seems to be removable so I suppose I can change it to an OP reflector from other reputable merchants if they're available. The beam in the MTE is focusable.

The MTE has 2 modes High and Not so High. :grin2:

The Seoul LED is not centered in the body so i might need to do more adjustments. The slug was isolated from the star by thermal paste or epoxy (The only thing i can see is white stuff under the slug). The star has some of the same stuff on it between the aluminium slug.

The clicky feels very easy to use. I don't have to bury my thumb in the button cavity to operate it. No momentary on being a reverse clicky :awman:. Lots of O-rings (3 to be exact) so it's at least splashable or dunkable. I'll test it later.

Overall, a great light for under 30 bucks (including resistors, solder and stuff).

Thanks LEDite for the mod thread and tips.:goodjob:
Thanks Kyle of DealExtreme for your great service. :goodjob:

Thank you guys for allowing me to post something. Hope this helps.

Sorry for the long post. Sorry for the lack of pictures.
