Multimeter - which one/ how to use?

I hope I'm posting this in the right forum. I'm interested in buying a multimeter to use to test my rechargeable batteries. I want to spend no more than $100. I have seen some models that include sound, temperature features etc while those may be useful in the future primarily it will be to test the cells. Can someone reccoomend a model?



Also if someone can post a walkthrough on how to use a multimeter as I have not been able to find detailed information online or on these forums.
