It is almost TWICE the size. I thought is was supposed to be the other way around? Help me out here? Do I have a bum focused lamp?

Probably.

Here`s what I get:

a2e2e.jpg

From what I gather, this is pretty typical of the A2`s output. Mine covers a similar area to the E2e but is squashed slightly making it oval shaped. It also has a noticeable brighter hotspot whereas the E2e is more of an even circle.

Incidentally the E2e in this photo is using a tired pair of Panasonic cells, so is dimmer and yellower than when fresh.

If yours looks drastically different to this, I would suspect that a call to SFCS is in order.

does that mean you don't want it posted here Al?

TKL, I think you are following me around CPF.
Don't do that, its scarry.
I might have to call Surefire customer service to see what my options are. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/twak.gif

Floating Spots,
I followed the same thread order as you and tkl. Your post nearly made me blow Diet DR Pepper out my nose, which I find very uncomfortable. Do you have any suggestions for avoiding this in the future? (I nearly did it again)

Sorry for staying off topic. Now back to your regularly scheduled thread.

In my opinion, there is no point highlighting an issue or point of concern unless you give the Customer Service of the company concerned a chance to sort it out.

No sorting out a problem but standing around and talking about it is a very British thing.
I'm saying that you guys often show British characteristics.
(If this doesn't scare you into sorting things out, I could try calling you French! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif :P

I know how you feel... I have coffee spots all over my monitor now. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

On an aside, I thought the forums was exactly for (among other things) airing out differences and problems we have with products - that way others know about potential issues to look out for, and everyone may just learn something in the process! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

If you do call Surefire, please let us know what they say!

I will call them and i will let them know what they say but please let me in on the joke?!!? I was gone yesterday and missed it.
