My D10s lost their memory

I purchased a D10 camo a few months ago & it quickly became my most used flashlight. I liked it so much I ordered a second, warm tint version, with a clip, extra AW cells, a headband and a diffuser kit.

First the camo version lost its memory for high, but will remember med & low. Now the warm version will only turn on in low mode, regardless of which mode it was switched off in. This one also requires a double press if the light was turned off when it was in the med mode (but not high or low)

I have taken both units apart and made sure everthing is working mechanically. The switches engage properly & their operation is smooth and consistent. I still use the lights but find it unsatisfactory to change modes so often - the memory feature is/was very convienient to me. Plus, I can't let anyone else use the lights because of the way they operate. I thought I would share my experience.

Contact Nitecore directly, someone recently told me to give it a try. Even after specifying that I had broken my light through modifying it, which clearly voids the warranty, they have offered to repair it for no more cost to me than the postage! Now that is customer service :twothumbs

Did you send your light to the Service Center in China??? That's a long way from Maryland.

I'll eMail them & see what they say.

Exact same thing happened to my D10. I also took mine apart to see what was up. Found nothing physically wrong with the light.
I sent it to China and I'm waiting to hear back from them. I suggest you do the same.

I haven't returned it yet, I'm planning to send it off in a couple of days when I've finished all my A-levels..
