My Favourite Lummi

I'll start. Originally it was the Raw Ti, but the minimalist charm of the Wee Ti really won me over (it's like the Ariel Atom of the flashlight world). I was really gutted to lose it, but I'll have to wait and see if I actually prefer the Wee SS when I get it. I have no doubt that I will prefer the neutral-white tint.

I have a Wee NS and a Raw TI. I prefer the Raw TI because there's more room for machining details, because it has multiple modes, and because it has a longer battery life. The Wee, while nice, is just a little too minimalist for me.

I've actually ordered a neutral-white LE for my Raw Ti. If the transition from low to high is smoother than my current LE, then it could be a tight competition between the two.

I was always jealous of the Wee NS I bought for my girlfriend. That had a better tint than either of my lights. I was sorely tempted to swap light engines, since she wouldn't care. Good job I didn't really, otherwise I would have lost that LE with my Wee Ti :sigh:

Raw Ti for me. Vastly superior throw and quite a bit brighter than my Wee's. I can live with the extra size, as it's still a very small light. I really should order a neutral LE for it.

The Wee would come onto my buying radar screen if they could add at least one more level much lower than presently available. 25, 50 or 100 lumens sounds nice for high, but choice of of 1 or 2 lumen low added to the present light would be very nice for utility, not to mention extended runtime.

Hmmm... I am somewhat of a Titanium light fanatic :grin2: but one of my favorites lights has been the Raw NS. Why the NS over Ti?? :candle: The Raw is a wonderful small 2 stage light in my opinion :twothumbs If you don't agree :nana: Just havin fun voicin my worthless opinion :p Oh wait.......

Hey & Howdy Rob!

Well I suppose the true answer would be - whichever one I have on me at the time. But if I really dig deep in my affections - it must be my RAW SS with red Cree emitter - Scorchio!

Roll on the Mil and a new favourite!

What colour shall I get?

This one.....

Although I understand the new ones are a little brighter ? :D

Beautiful Lummi there karl. I would be afraid to carry that for EDC purposes though.

My new favourite is the Wee SS with neutral-white (NW) emitter. I just cannot get over how much better the colour rendering is compared to cool white (CW). At first, I was worried that it would be a mere colour-shift, but testing on a variety of coloured surfaces, using an incandescent E1e as a control, the NW emitter is head-and-shoulders above the CW. Due to the superior rendering, it actually appears brighter than the CW, despite being less lumens on paper.

And of course, the real advantage of the Wee, it can go literally anywhere I do without being remotely obstructive. There's no a mark on it despite banging around with my keys for a while now.

Raw ns! I only have the raw ns, raw ss, and wee ss, so far and the raw ns is my favourite. Love the satin like finish even more than the ss

I have a number of Rob's lights, but I think my fav is the Raw Ti with the SST-50 in there.
Not sure of the output in numbers, but it has a very nice, smooth bright beam on both low & high.

Karl, That is a beautiful DA.
Last month I bought a RAW NS from FITP mostly because I have only read about "Rob's" lights and wanted to try one out for myself. Well, my RAW NS is so smooth and it even has a 3 stage UI. I even tried contacting FITP for more info on the 3 stage UI but unfortunately his PM box is full. Google wasnt much help when I did my search. I just wanted to know more details of the 3 levels since it appears that most lights are shipped with a 2 stage UI. Oh well, I will just keep searching.

There are very few 3-modes Raws out there. I don't think Rob is making them anymore. They more-or-less came out around the time of the new tail-end style. The modes are 20/100/200. They are very nice! You probably won't find out any more info since they are that limited.

Congrats! :twothumbs
