I got a Breitling Super Ocean while on vacation in cozumel a few weeks ago. Some guys on a watch forum I visit were requesting pics so I just thought I would share with you guys too.

I know nothing about watches, but I have to say that that's a beautiful wheelgun. I just checked out the FA website, and they have some interesting calibers available. I've tried that grip style chambered for .454, but the hammer kept biting me. I'm saving up to buy a S&W in .500 Mag, which should be reasonably comfortable.

Again, that's a very nice piece.

BTW, if you bought luxury items in Mexico, I recommend getting them appraised on your return, just in case.

Did you save money by buying it offshore as opposed to stateside? It's a nice watch. When I bought my only expensive watch, it came down between a Breitling and an Omega. I chose the Omega but sure I would have been happy with the Breitling as well.

I like the subtle guilloche(?) (the circular texturing done with an engraving engine) in the dial. It's not what I'm used to seeing in this style of watch.

That is a very nice watch. I have had a Breitling since 2001 and have been very happy with it.

Geepondy....yes I actually did save money by buying there. I really didn't intend on getting it. It was an anniversary gift from my wife. Ended up saving about 650.00 and declared it and everything and didn't get popped for taxes on it when I came home. Kinda surprised me really, guess the customs people were just in a good mood that day.:D

tigerhawk....if you end up going with the freedom arms pistol you will not be disappointed. they are climbing in price now though, I gave $1500.00 for that one, they are almost 2K now! They don't even make that model anymore, the 50 AE. It's fun to take to the indoor range, you get some silly teens down there shooting a 12 ga just giggling away at the big boom while everyone else is popping off their 9mm's and stuff.....the suddenly there is a horrendous bang and they come to investigate and there I am shooting big nasty :crackup:Always a crowd pleaser! The 500 s&w is a hoss, get the 7" version at the least, you'll need it.

Oh, and I did check up on it, it's real. The cruise line has this guarantee form good for 30 days, if you buy diamonds lets say, take them to the jeweler to get mounted and they say hey these are fake, the cruise line has a re-imbursement guarantee to take care of you. So naturally a friend of mine is a jeweler and I took it to him two days after I got home and he said without a doubt the real deal. Plus it's so dang heavy, that's usually a dead giveaway. My Rolex datejust is a brick, and so is this one.

Thanks everyone for the comments on the watch!

I just went and checked for posts on the watch forum I mentioned earlier. They deleted my picture of the watch with the pistol!! That is kinda shocking really. The moderator stated, it was a nice picture but our rules say no pics of weapons unless they are in a documentary type of post. Wow! Ok, sorry guys.....hope I don't offend any of you guys here with that picture, if so I guess I'll delete it.

Hmmmm....if I go on safari with my .50 cal and I'm wearing my watch in some of the pics taken I guess I'll be ok then :grin2:

Knives, watches, flashlights, and guns photograph well together, very nice watch.

Thank you!

I'm glad some people think so. I'll see if I can't squeeze a couple of my surefires in there along with some other toys and make a "family photo"

Definitely don't delete the picture with the gun in it. That's just silly. Breitlings are nice watches and it goes well with the shooter.
