Yes it happened, I dropped my brass Caribbean...head first :ohgeez:  :mecry:
A very nice ding on the bezel, left it unremovable, and like a freaking desperate idiot I tried removing it with a pair of split ring pliers...BAD idea. It slipped and made a mess of the head. Needless to say im pretty pissed and dissapointed at myself. So im in the predicament of fixing this little misshap. Im contacting the Peak gurus here for a couple questions..

1. Whats the thread size on the bezel?
2. Can I get a replacement brass retainer bezel from Peak?
3. Is there a "custom" made bezel available for this light or does any existing ones fit?
4.I ordered a 18mm glass lens from Flashlightlens.com because the poly got scratched too, was this a good idea?

You can c the bad ding at 12 o'clock and subsequent plier damage at 10,8,6 and 2 0'clock
Any help will be greatly apreciated...

Cuso,

If you send the light back to us - I will see what we can do to get it fixed up for you. If you think you can fix it up yourself with a new brass retainer ring, I can send you a replacement - what ever you think will work best for you - send me an email to [email protected].

Re: My worst nightmare...

Thanks a lot , Robyn... Ill try and post some pictures so you can address the damage. I did manage to remove the retainer ring but its ugly... ill post the pics latter.

Looks like your problem is solved, Cuso
Always good to know you have the support of the manufacturer behind you.

I spec'd my Mediterranean 2AA and Baltic 2AAA in stainless since I tend to drop things :( Maybe you can get a stainless bezel for your brass light. It should add some extra strength to the head when it gets dropped. At the minimum it will be harder to damage from the split ring pliers.
