It is indeed an XQ-E. Specifically the XQ-E Torch. For whatever reason there didn't seem to be much information out there about this specific LED so I decided to purchase some and check it out. I have yet to do a full analysis but as you can see it only has one bond wire so this it the same die put in the old xpc. What I am curious to see is if there are any significant die level advancements in this application. By my calculation it would only be about 8-9% better but we shall see. BTW the xpc was what I used in the original DEFT-edc. So this new LED could be killer in a new tiny thrower.
