hello all,
ive been going to quark website and might sound foolish but im new to all of this subject
whats the difference between the natural white and the useall led light the have there?
 
The "whiteness" of an LED usually refers to its color temperature, which is measured in Kelvin. The majority of LEDs are "cool white" and fall in the 6500K range:

so it meens that the natural white well be more "white",more close to the sun's whitness?
is that better then the regullar led?
 
"Better" is very subjective. Some people prefer a warmer tint, some prefer a neutral white tint and some like cool white. It all depends on personal preference.
 
Be aware that Quark "neutral" is around 4000K; it's meant to look similar to a bright incandescent light, not attempt to be a middle-of-the-road white.

Actually i thnik you're confusing them with the older Quark neutrals, which were of a 5C tint or even lower colour temperature. The new Quark neutrals have a much higher colour temperature and some have reported them to have green/blue tints and indistinguishable from cool white variants. It's supposedly due to the higher bins that the new neutrals use.

My first post, although I have been lurking for years...

As per other threads in this forum, and put in a few words at the risk or paraphrasing, the "default" tint for a LED is "cool white". Manufacturers add sulfur to the LED to add yellow tint to the bluish tint to make it "warmer". The sulfur absorbs energy and results in a less bright light output. So a "Cool white" LED will be brighter than a "warm white" LED of the same kind, for example.

In some applications, like outdoors, a warmer LED will render colors (in particular greens and browns) better than a cooler LED would, and details of the landscape may be more visible than if they were illuminated with a brighter cool LED. I hope this makes sense.

So if I wanted maximum efficiency and interested to draw the maximum brightness output from a light, and mostly use the light indoors, I would go cool white, but if I use the light mostly outdoors, and want to see more intricate details and interested in a better color rendition, but at the cost of a slightly less bright light output, I would go neutral white.
