Hi , i need a P7 based flashlight to use when out walking and also for mounting on my XC bike .

DX have plenty but I'm really not sure what to go for .

ideally i need low/med/high and a runtime on high of at least an hour .
i also would like to buy the cells and charger from them but again i don't have a clue .
to date i just use CR123's in my other lights but i think its now time to make the swap to rechargeables .

any help would be great
thanks

PS ive searched but have found little to help me

The MTE P7D model is 5 modes. SkU# 16092. I just got this, and it would makes a great bike light...however, I don't think any P7 driven by 1 18650 can give 1 hour on high. Check out the bike section. Some of the guys adapt the lights to external packs.

Can you stop to change batteries? Carry several spares. If you're going to use them a lot, you might want to get AW batteries and a charger from him. Look in the dealer section.

so whats the current P7 daddy on Dealextream?
most of the searches ive done have indicated pretty much every P7 based light has issues with build or being underpowered, are they all trash ?

You can get everything you need from very reputable vendors if you buy a Wolf Eyes P7 package.

A P7 rattlesnake will be more expensive than the DX stuff but the quality is worth it, plus the great service you'll get from the wolf eyes dealers will far exceed what you'll receive from DX if something should be wrong with the light. You can get one with cells and charger included, here for example. If you go with that one don't forget to set up a CPF discount. :D

+1 for WE. They are much more expensive than DX lights, but better in every way. Yes, that includes brighter, although the lights on DX are rated higher. If you search for reviews, you'll find that the results are the opposite of the DX P7's results.

Create an account on PTS and pm mike for a discount.

However, you can get something of lower quality a lot cheaper on DX. I've heard Aurora mentioned as a good brand for P7 flashlights.

Thanks for the info guys but this needs to be as cheap as poss.
the £ crash with the $ means that the WE just isnt worth my while (at the moment :mecry:)

Im in the process of a bike light build so this DX cheapo light is just a short term fix while i get some of the parts engineered.

once the bike light is up and running i can use the DX light for parts or as a hammer or a door stop ,or a very small barbell etc etc:laughing:

As mentioned above, I would go for the AW cells.
I brought 5 Trustfire Li-ion rechargeable cells a while back
and two of them are already dead
