Allright guys i need a new light, i had a Pelican 7060 but after sending it back for the second time for a new switch ive decided ill be moving on to another brand. I figured there is no better place than this to ask what a good replacement would be. Id like the new light to be LED and rechargeable. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'm amusing you are looking for flashlights in the same class as the 7060 then (mid-sized?)

I like the Inova T4. The 2009 model is probably pumping out similar light to the 7060. The Inova seems light it is brighter overall, but the 7060 is a better thrower. I've never had an issue with an Inova product. I carry the T4 on my belt at work. Certainly not the brightest flashlight in the world. Then again, it doesn't really need to be.

Other flashlights, the new Stinger LED HPs look good and all probably give you more light than the 7060 (I have a first generation Stinger LED and it is a good light).

I've never played with the 5.11 Light for Life. Seems like a cool concept, but that damn thing is just too big. I haven't seen a midsized one in person to judge whether or not I would want to try and carry it.

The Streamlight HP LED is bright but has a very tight hotspot, which is why I didnt carry it very long.

A co-worker recently bought an Inova T4 and swears by it. From what I could tell it is a really good light.

The 5.11 full size actually impressed me. You can only use turbo mode by holding down the switch but the normal mode is great for traffic stops (approach with turbo and then let off the switch to regular mode).

For secondary I have been using an Eagle Tac T100C Mark II, and just recently a modified Gladius, both of which are great lights.

If a wall of light is what you want I suggest a Malkoff MD4, it will light up a front yard like no tomorrow.

Good luck with your decision

Thanks for the replies, ill look into those lights and see if they look good for a replacement.

The newest version Inova T4 is rated at 200 lumen and I use one almost every night. External appearance is identical to a few earlier versions with lower output.

Make sure you know which one you are buying as several dealers are still advertising older version T4s.

just picked up a 200 lumen t4 off ebay for 150 shipped, probably not the absolute best deal possible but fair. Thanks for the help guys.
