First of all I need RCR123's for an RA Twisty 85Tr that i just bought, I already have an Ultrafire WF-139 charger and 2x AW 18650's, would the Ultrafire WF-138 and a couple ofAW RCR123A's be ok for my twisty?

Also, I need new AAA NiCd's for a pair of two way radios that i have, they were sold with GP 300mAh ones but they were always crap, and are now dead/ do not hold charge any more. Any good reccomendations for higher capacity NiCd's?

I do not have the RA anything. However regarding chargers, I have the -138 charger which charges only the 14500 (AA) or 10440 (AAA) size cells. THere is a similar Ultrafire charger that allows for charging the nominal 3.0v and 3.7v Li-Ion cells. A DSD charger parallels the two cells of 18650 or RCR123 (3.7v) that it can hold for charging. My recently purchased DSD charger does not demonstrate some of the poor voltage cutoff characteristics in the DSD charger that have been reported on CPF. However, variations in production should be expected for the low price. A better all-in-one charger is the larger Soshine Li-Ion (3.7v) charger from Lighthound that charges all sizes with 4 separate charging circuits.

As for the NiCds - why not switch to low self discharge NiMH cells? Sanyo Eneloops and Maha Imedions have an 800mah capacity. Per CPF reports as well as my own experience, the Low Self Discharge cells do have a low self discharge characteristic that is clearly superior to most normal "high capacity" NiMH cells. Do a search on LSD, or Eneloop or Imedion for further information.
